Reflections: Inspired by the Wet Season

  • Las nubes negras roaming all week long to soak and cleanse the city with it's pouring rain, with a promise that el sol will shine again with all its glory touching everyone with the warmth of its rays
  • Even though I was born in the summer with it's imposing heat, I've always preferred winter with it's suggestive warmth
  • One of the best smells to look forward to in the rain: fresh rain-wet grass
  • Thunder and lightning to me are never a premonition; they are like old friends that always make me feel right at home
  • If it is drizzling, the best thing to do is to take a walk in a puddle-free road/path
  • If it is pouring, cuddle up in a warm place, open the curtains, make a steaming cup of cocoa and watch the wet streets and the swooshing going outside of your little warm world
  • The memory of the best rain day I have ever witnessed, is that when I was standing under the protective roof of our school bus garage, and I couldn't make out the volley ball court that was only 20 meters away
